PeakSense provides a complete Content Management System (CMS) allowing your business to start, maintain and grow your own online presence. While PeakSense is extremely capable of running any web 'site', it also broadens a firm's capabilities to run a multi-faceted 'portal' offering customer-focused extra functionality to help grow your brand and online sales.

Design Focus

PeakSense utilises the latest design methods to ensure compliance with industry accepted standards, but most importantly shows none of the common signs of database-driven websites, which are often 'blocky and boring'. Instead, PeakSense fits the functionality of the system inside your design, rather than making you conform to system constraints. This results in all the great benefits of a database-driven site, and none of the common negatives.

Each of the samples below is driven by PeakSense. As you can see, design and appearance to the end user is completely flexible, yet each retains the inherent PeakSense features for site owners.

RSS Feeds

PeakSense also provides built in RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds, the rapidly emerging standard for sharing your PeakSense published information with other businesses and consumers.

Comments and Ratings

Optional functionality you may choose to 'switch on' includes ability for your site visitors to leave comments and ratings of information, which can also be optionally 'moderated' before they are published to your live site - and this all happens via an efficient email advice arriving in the inbox of your nominated administrative contact/s.

User Management

An advanced user management system allows you to allocate not only multiple site administrators, but also a very flexible permissions system. This means certain staff members might produce content, but a limited range of administrators can be given the final approval prior to publishing (including the ability to edit information before approving). You may also create a user who can only update a certain category, or only create blogs, for example, rather than all site content types. Alternatively, you may also appoint a Super Administrator who can add / edit and delete anything on the entire site.

Create Different Content Types (Pages or Articles, News Items or Blogs)

Content types allow you to target information in the most attractive and useful format. Rather than be a huge collection of 'cookie cutter' pages, PeakSense breaks content in functional types :

" Web pages (the 'typical' web content management solution)
" Articles of interest (allows an immersive, tailored experience for searchers interacting with your information)
" News items (an ideal way to publicise special offers and late breaking news from your business)
" Blogs (capitalise on the popularity of weblogs, and optionally allow client interaction on your site)

The flexibility of PeakSense is virtually limitless, and is expandable using your own inhouse creativity. As Unearthed® implements your own unique design into the core of the system (all via simple to update 'templates' which can be changed in future if needed), your online image has the ability to match some of the brightest lights in the online landscape.

Images

Using the Insert/Modify image button, you are able to select local images and upload them to the site library, where they can then be used to complement your content. Sites with great images really stand out from the crowd, and this system makes the process of inserting images incredibly easy.

Search Engine Optimized Content

Every page on your site is optimized for ease of indexing by search engines. You control the title, description and keywords seen by search engines at the time of creating content. These details can be edited at any stage in the future. Most importantly, our system generates 'search engine friendly URLs' - removing the usual database confusion and creating 'virtual' individual webpages. These addresses are easy for Google and other engines to 'crawl' when indexing and assessing the content on your site.

Strength of HTML presentation powered by PHP Code

Unearthed® has chosen PHP and mySQL as the most robust and efficient technology platform on which to base web applications. This saves our customers committing to unreasonable yearly licensing or maintenance fees. Instead, it gives you a leading edge presence which can later be worked on in the open market place by anyone with skills in PHP coding. Typically these skills are much more cost-effective than the use of programmers working on large proprietary platforms such as SAP, IBM, or Microsoft Sharepoint.

Unlike many lesser Content Management Systems, PeakSense is not distributed in the open source community (as it's a commercial application). This minimises the chance of the code being compromised and avoids the well-known 'security advisories' (and regular upkeep and code replacement) which accompany most open source CMS's.

Automatic AdSense Integration

If you choose to participate in Google's AdSense program (selling Google ads within your site) you can easily set the parameters in your admin section to integrate Google Ads directly into your site with a few clicks.

You can even choose the optimum positioning and color scheme depending on your site design, generating maximum clicks and therefore maximum revenue.

Or you may choose to turn off Google AdSense integration altogether. Either way, PeakSense retains your freedom of choice and ability to tailor the site to your business needs.

Article Submissions and Authors

You can optionally choose to allow your site users to create 'author' accounts, then allow them to create articles for your site. You can choose whether the articles appear on your site immediately or if you'd like to place them in a 'pending' state until you, or an approved Administrator, approves it.

Support for Other Languages

The system works via common language files which allow you to later expand to other single and double-byte languages including German, French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, etc.

Article Ratings and Spam-Free Comments

You can optionally choose to allow visitor ratings and spam-free comments on your articles by taking advantage of our inbuilt CAPTCHA system. Eliminating the 'automated spam' menace, you increase the value and usefulness of comments appearing on your site and encourage interactivity.
